NPR cans Williams for his comment over Muslims making him nervous on planes. As an analyst isn't part of his profession to render opinion as it applies to how he interprets events?

Though other games may have been underfoot, seemed a pretty honest and risky expression in today's times to voice a concern a lot of us feel, but none like to mention.

Question then lands on Schiller's feet and that is who decides which topics meet "controversial" status, and which staffers with ambiguous titles are allowed to express themselves.

OR, was it a bold move to get in the headlines, and push support for its dwindling donations with the left?

I think it was a pitch to their supporters to get more funding, and show which side they are on. I also think Mr. Williams has been more in line with Fox News than his "independent" views for a while.
